Week 14 Punt Plays

Week 14 Punt Plays

Every week John Lee, Cecil Lammey and I (Jeff Pasquino) discuss our punt plays for DraftKings on The Audible to close out our weekly DFS DraftKings podcast.  These are players that we are looking at to fill in a last spot on our lineups that are relatively cheap.  We have all been there - we have only a few bucks left and 1-2 spots to go in our roster, and we need a good value play to fill in that gap.  The rules we play by are that the player must not cost more than $3,500.

Just like always, I can only use one on the show - and I am not going to steal the thunder from our three picks that make the airwaves - but I will share a few guys that did not make it for the final cut.  Last week was pretty thin, but I pulled out a gold coin with Dorial Green-Beckham.  Did I do it again? Tune in for my pick this week.  I also loved Cecil's pick as he was on my list as well, so I expect big things from both players.  John broke the rules by going for a player at $3,600, but he was a great value and I completely get why he went there.  So as you might have guessed, I think that the list is much deeper for Week 14.  So give the following list of additional punt plays for this week a read and tell me what you think, either in the comments or on twitter (@JeffPasquino).   Here goes:

Darren Sproles, RB, Eagles ($3,500) -  The Eagles beat New England last week with Sproles as the main back - but will he have a similar role this week?  With Ryan Mathews ($3,400) back as well and even Kenjon Barner in the mix, this is a tough call.

Charles Sims, RB, Buccaneers ($3,400) - The Saints cannot defend the pass, and this is where Sims really excels.  With Tampa Bay favored, Sims can add some solid value in full PPR.

Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks ($3,500) - Seattle is a big favorite and Doug Baldwin has been the hot hand for touchdowns, but Lockett is also getting a lot of catches - just no touchdowns of late.  With Baltimore's secondary a mess, Lockett is a nice call.

Robert Woods, WR, Bills ($3,500) - While everyone focuses on LeSean McCoy and his return to Philadelphia and Sammy Watkins performing big of late, Tyrod Taylor is favored to do well this week.  His second target in Woods has some positive upside if this game gets to be a high scoring affair.

Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington ($3,500) - Washington and Chicago think they both have playoff chances, so look for Kirk Cousins to spread the ball around.  Crowder is a possession guy who can get 5-7 catches and reach GPP (14 points) value here.

Coby Fleener, TE, Colts ($3,000) - Jacksonville is not good at defending the tight end position, and Fleener had eight targets last week.  Simple math here.

Orleans Darkwa, RB, Giants ($3,500) - Jeff's "Dark" pick here as the lead back for New York who might lead the Giants in rushing and could get a touchdown this week.

Thanks for reading as always, and be sure to check out The DraftKings' Audible episode every week, and subscribe to The Audible on iTunes.  Good luck this week!
