Trust or Fade: Sunday Injury Expectations

In the years I've been writing injury columns, I don't believe there's ever been a Sunday morning quieter than this one. There are no critical game time decisions and no players likely to play who shouldn't be due to marginal health. So, I won't waste your time with many words.

Players listed on the injury report who I don't believe will be affected much by their injury today include: Julio Jones, Jeremy Hill, Latavius Murray, Duke Johnson, Charles Clay, Travis Kelce, Allen Hurns, and James Jones.

I don't expect Alshon Jeffery or Sammy Watkins to be active today.

There are two situations of concern, but I think the expectations are straight forward.

Randall Cobb still has a sore shoulder and could leave the game to recover if he's hit or lands on the shoulder again this week. But his injury remains manageable and his fantasy upside remains extremely high. I would trust him in all formats today and base your lineup decision on your statistical expectation only.

Andre Ellington will play but isn't ready for a meaningful workload and will rotate with Chris Johnson and David Johnson. I'd fade him in all formats today.

If you have a situation you're concerned about this morning, please tweet me @JeneBramel. I'll update this post with any Sunday morning surprises. Best of luck in your contests today. Hope any variance works in your favor.
